The NDIS came into full operation across Australia in 2020. It is the first national scheme dedicated to supporting people with disability.

The NDIS provides funding for people with disability to access a range of support, services, assistance and products.

The NDIS provides support to eligible people with a permanent and significant intellectual, physical, sensory, cognitive or psychosocial disability. A significant disability means it has a substantial impact on your ability to complete everyday activities.

The NDIS takes a lifelong approach by providing supports and services to help a person in their daily life, help them to participant in the community and reach their goals.
